The vineyards of Loire Valley follow the banks of the Loire and its affluents, from Nantes to the buttress of Yonne, across 8 departments.
Varied climates and grounds contribute to the richness of this valley and these many vineyards.

Appellations
The wines of Loire Valley are produced in 5 under-areas, each one has its own name.
Red wines
Chinon: running, velvety, molten and sharp wine. To taste with a rabbit with prunes.
Saumur: light and fruity wine, with a good persistence. To serve with roasted red meats.
White wines
Muscadet wine: a dry and nervous white wine. It will be delicious with a plate of seafood.
Sancerre: yellow, straw wine, with green tonalities, one of the most recognized Sauvignon. To be served with noble fish preferably.
